Absolutely. Unlike traditional parental control apps that store location history, screenshots, and logs on their database servers, BanniGuard is built using a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) architecture. All live audio-video feeds and screen sharing are routed directly between the parent and child devices. Your private data never touches or persists in the cloud.
No. To comply with Google Play Developer policies and maintain transparency, BanniKid operates with a visible launcher icon and displays a persistent notification showing that the device is protected. However, it includes advanced tamper-protection, meaning the child cannot turn off services, clear data, or uninstall the app without parental authorization.
It takes less than a minute. Install the Parent Dashboard App on your phone, click "Add Device", and scan the QR code displayed on the BanniKid app installed on your child's phone (or enter the 6-digit pairing code manually). The pairing is encrypted and instant.
To monitor activity and prevent tampering, BanniKid requires Accessibility Services (to enforce app limits and lock screens), Device Administrator (to prevent unauthorized uninstallation), and Background Location (for real-time GPS tracking). These permissions are strictly used for child safety and are never shared with third parties.
We respect your privacy. You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated pairing data by emailing us at support@banniguard.com or filling out the contact form on our Contact page. All user data is permanently purged from our Supabase servers within 7 business days.
