Child Device Setup Instructions
Install BanniKid APK
Open the downloaded BanniKid APK file on your child's Android phone and complete the installation. You might need to allow "Install from Unknown Sources" in settings.
Pair Device
Open the BanniGuard Parent App on your phone, go to "Add Device", and scan the QR code displayed on the BanniKid app screen, or enter the pairing code manually.
Grant System Permissions
To enable real-time tracking, limits, and streaming, grant the required permissions on the child's phone when prompted:
- Accessibility Service: Required for blocking unsafe apps and tracking usage limits.
- Device Administrator: Prevents the child from uninstalling the app unauthorized.
- Location: Required to fetch GPS coordinates for real-time safety.
- Ignore Battery Optimization: Ensures Android doesn't stop the background monitor service.
Complete Setup & Parental Shield
Once setup is complete, BanniKid runs in parental control mode. To comply with Google Play Policies and maintain full transparency, the app icon and a persistent safety notification remain visible on the child's device, while BanniGuard's security shield prevents unauthorized uninstallation or modifications by the child.
