Welcome to BanniGuard. We respect the privacy of our users and are committed to protecting it through compliance with this Privacy Policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you install and use the BanniGuard Parent App and BanniKid Monitor App.

1. Important Policy Declaration (Child Monitoring Only)

BanniGuard is designed and offered strictly as a Parental Control and Child Safety Monitoring application. It is intended to help parents, legal guardians, or authorized supervisors monitor the digital safety and location of children under their direct guardianship. It is strictly prohibited to install this application to monitor any adult, spouse, partner, or employer without their explicit, written consent. Unauthorized monitoring violates local laws and Google Ads policies.

2. Peer-to-Peer Stream & Data Minimization

We believe that parents should control their child's data. BanniGuard utilizes a modern peer-to-peer (P2P) real-time communication architecture powered by Supabase. Under this model:

• No Media Archiving: Real-time screen mirroring, live video streams, and audio feeds are routed directly between the child and parent devices. This media data is never stored, recorded, or cached on any remote servers.
• Temporary Signaling: Database transactions are only used to exchange signaling handshakes between active devices to connect them. Once connected, the data flows directly.

3. Information We Collect

To provide core parental control features, the BanniKid application collects the following telemetry datasets from the child's device:

• Location Data: Real-time GPS coordinates are collected to display the child's location on the parent's map dashboard.
• Installed Applications & Usage: We collect list metrics of apps installed on the child's device to allow the parent to configure blocking rules.
• Call Logs & SMS Metadata: Call records and incoming messaging metadata are synced to the parent's device to protect the child from online harassment.

4. Third-Party Integrations & Security

We utilize secure third-party platforms to manage payments and user databases:

• Razorpay: Subscription payments and billing verification are handled securely via Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant checkout system. We do not store credit card or bank credentials on our servers.
• Supabase: User authentication and signaling metadata are encrypted using transport-layer security (SSL/TLS).

5. Sensitive Device Permission Declarations

BanniKid requires specific Android system permissions to operate. We declare the use of these permissions as follows:

• Accessibility Service API: Used strictly to monitor application usage, block configured restricted applications, and implement parents' remote locks. No personal identifiers or search logs are recorded or stored.
• Device Administrator Permission: Used to prevent children from unauthorized deletion or uninstallation of the security shield.
• Background Location: Used to track child geographic safety coordinates, even when the app is closed or not in active use.

6. Data Deletion & Account Deletion Requests

Under Google Play compliance policies, you have full control over your data. You may request the permanent deletion of your BanniGuard account and all child telemetry datasets (including paired device links, usage records, and logs) by:

• Submitting a deletion request via our Contact Us page.
• Emailing us directly at support@banniguard.com.

All data will be permanently purged from our active databases and Supabase instances within seven (7) business days of verification.

7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" timestamp.
